About the event
Summer 2021, Book Tour, Kundalini Serpent Goddess: Rising from the Boderland
Atma Chanan toured with her book, Kundalini Serpent Goddess: Rising from the Borderlands at Hacienda Guru Ram Das, New Mexico; Farmer’s Market, Sebastopol, California; G-Goddess Festival, Mt Shasta, California; and the Sirens Festival, Sebastopol, California (August 7-8). What a blast we had at these festivals and markets where people gather to come together and share their talents! Atma Chanan sold out her books, signing them individually to the women who showed up and identified with her story and her healing journey. So much support and nurturance, learning about each other’s feminine roots, coming together in women’s rituals and loving our unique cultures, languages and contributions, combining also the ancient technology of Kundalini Yoga and Meditation with priestess arts, belly dancing skills, and one another’s inner wisdom and knowledge.
Previous Event: Japji Sahib Course in Española Ashram, New Mexico, October 2020-June 2021. We gathered weekly to discuss the meaning of each of the 38 stanzas, Mul Mantra and Shalok of the Japji Sahib, the Song of the Soul, given to us by the consciousness of Guru Nanak incarnated in India in the 1600s. We explored words in Gurmukhi, sounds and meaning of letters, and the benefits of the stanzas as taught by Yogi Bhajan, the Kundalini yogi who brought Kundalini Yoga and Meditation, along with Sikh Dharma to the West in 1969. Guru Nanak was a poet and a singer so that his message could reach everyone’s heart, that’s how great teachers like Buddha, Jesus, Mary Magdalene and other yoguinis taught about the soul and heart. the Japji is a beautiful song that stands as the first fifty pages of the Siri Guru Granth Sahib, the sacred scripture of Sikhs, a religion that has over 30 million followers in the world and is guided by the principle of EK ONG KAR, We are all One. Like all spiritual traditions it has a shamanic root and a feminine root, that stands out for its communion with nature and we’re all brothers and sisters, the sacred masculine and the sacred feminine guiding our belief systems and actions.
Testimonials“Atma Chanan has a lot of experience in facilitating, so the course flowed smoothly, in the frequency of the neutral mind. She is patient and has good deep listening skills.”Harnal Kaur Khalsa, Sikh Minister
